Every Sunday we will update this section to inform you of our planned learning objectives for the coming week.
This week we will be...
-Exploring Sikhism and Guru Gobid Singh.
-Exploring how the Guru actively challenged discrimination ands thought that ‘All the human beings are the same although they may appear to be different.’
-Using this idea of similarity and difference as a basis for our Philosophy session where we will read ‘The Hueys’ by Oliver Jeffers, and ponder what would life be like if everyone were the same.
-Continuing our work on our Focus book ‘Naughty Bus’ - we will be acting it out and writing about our own bus.
-Using ‘Inside Out’ to help us understand emotions, focussing this week on sadness.
-Exploring numbers 11 - 15, counting objects, pictures, counting out objects, creating numbers in variety of ways including using numicon and ten frames.
-Talk about teen numbers as being made up of a ten and a bit/ one ten and ?? ones.
-Planning out our creative ideas and thinking carefully about what we plan to create/draw, drawing the outline first where applicable.
-Learning the grapheme/phonemes ‘z, zz, qu’ alongside the tricky word was
