Hello and welcome from Lottie, Jo and all of the Year 3 children.

This page will be updated whenever possible for news ands updates about what we are learning. Please also check twitter @somerdaleet. Key enquiry question term 1: I wonder what our amazing earth will look like in 100 year?

  • The week beginning the 21st of October holds United Nations Day and our school Harvest Celebration, we will be…

    • Completing our persuasive letters to the next generation of children and reviewing and sharing them together as a class. We will also be putting them in our envelopes ready for sending!

    • Continuing our work on addition and subtraction using a variety of methods and applying them to word problems.

    • Working on our Yr 3 spellings whilst practising our spelling strategies. We are using a new dice game to help us make spellings fun!

    • Completing our gymnastics lessons with a fun lesson, reviewing all that we have learnt! Our balances were amazing last week!

    • In our Learn Together sessions we will be celebrating United Nations Day.

    • Continuing our learning of Spanish by learning to count up to 10.

    • Completing our E-Safety posters and printing them to put up around the school.

    • On Wednesday, we are going to have an Art Day! We will be researching artists who use the natural world around us to create wonderful pieces if art.

    • We are looking forward to seeing you at our school Harvest Celebration! We have some wonderful songs to share with you.

    • Please come and support Yr3 and our cake sale on Monday after school as we raise money for local abandoned horses and donkeys!
