Breakfast & After-School Club
Article 31: You have the right to play and rest
Somerdale Educate Together Breakfast and Afterschool Club provides wraparound provision for children aged 3-11 who attend our school.
We strive to provide a calm, welcoming and inclusive environment that encompasses the ethos of our school where all children are respected, and friendships are developed.
The staff are led by our Wraparound Care Supervisor and additional playworkers who support and live by the values of the school. The club provides a choice of stimulating activities which the children can help to plan. There are a range of indoor and outdoor play resources for the children to enjoy with opportunities for children to relax.
Sessions
Breakfast Club hours are from 7.45am – 9am.
After-School Club hours are from 3pm- 5.30pm.
Pricing
Our Breakfast Club sessions cost £4.50 and this includes breakfast.
Our After-School Club costs £8.50 per session and includes a snack.
Childcare vouchers can be used for pay for the school wraparound provision.
Bookings
Dates for the Breakfast and After-School Club are released monthly. If you have a place for your child, then this will be secured each month provided that payment is made. Parents make club bookings in advance on Arbor, when payment has been made, this can be confirmed by the office staff. Refunds will not be made for non-attendees or cancellations.
Staffing
Staff are employed by the school and form part of our team. Our Wraparound Care Supervisor is Amy Bowen.
Food Snacks
Food is provided by our school kitchen. Meals and snacks are a social time during which children sit and eat together. We plan meals so that they provide the children with a healthy and nutritious varied diet. As a NUT FREE school all meals/snacks are nut free. Dietary requirements will be catered for.
After-School Club Activities
The range of activities planned will enrich and engage our pupils, developing their social and friendship skills, wider knowledge and creativity all in a play environment.
