Our Pre-School

Our Pre- School is open to all children from their third birthday

We promote an approach to education which is based on the core values of mutual respect, self-esteem, dignity and critical awareness. The inclusive nature of our unique ethical curriculum ensures no child is ever placed in a position in which they feel themselves an outsider.

Our pre-school is based in our primary school, adjacent to our Reception class, sharing a wonderful outside learning space as a unit.

Our pre-school offers:

  • A qualified teacher working in our Pre-School classroom.
  • A unique ethical curriculum.
  • A place where no child is an outsider.
  • A well-resourced indoor and outdoor learning environment.
  • The option to purchase additional sessions if required and if we have space available.

The main point of entry to the pre-school is in September each year. Places for the September entry will be offered before the proceeding Easter break to children who will be three by 31st August of that year.

If there are more children on the waiting list than places available, then the oversubscriptions criteria will be applied.

If after our main entry point there are still spaces, then we will also have a Spring entry point (January) and a Summer entry point (After Easter).

To apply for a place at our preschool, please use our online form which is accessed from the link below.

Offers of places will be sent via e-mail.

Offers of places will be made in the last week before the Easter holidays for children to start in the Autumn Term.

Offers of places will be made in the first full week of July for children to start in the Spring Term.

Offers of places will be made in the last week of Term 2 before the Christmas holidays for children to start in the Summer Term.

Extra Sessions

If we have spaces available, parents have the option of purchasing extra sessions in addition to our core offer.
You can submit your request for regular extra sessions three times a year:

-If you require regular extra sessions for Term 1 and Term 2 (September – Christmas Holidays),  we will inform you by the end of Term 5 if we are able to accommodate any extra sessions for Terms 1 & 2 only.

-If you require extra sessions for Term 3 and Term 4 (January – Easter), we will inform you by the end of Term 1 if we are able to accommodate any extra sessions for Terms 3 and 4 only.

-If you require extra sessions for Term 5 and Term 6 (After Easter – Summer Holidays), we will inform you by the end of Term 3 if we are able to accommodate any extra sessions for Terms 5 & 6 only.

If, for example, we are able to offer you extra sessions for term 1 & 2, this does not mean we will be able to necessarily offer you extra sessions in any following terms. A request must be made for each period that you require additional sessions, and we will inform you if we can accommodate requests in the timelines detailed above.

If your child currently attends our pre-school and you wish to add regular additional sessions, please click here.
